Skinny Snacks To Get You Ready for Summer

I am SO excited about this article today.  I’ve been on a journey to a healthier lifestyle for almost 1 year now.  In April 2016, I signed up for Katy Hearn’s Spring Challenge (IG: Katy Hearn Fit).  In the challenge, you learn ALL about counting your macros (protein, fat, carbs) and what the heck to do in the gym on a consistent basis!

What I LOVED about this challenge is the healthy relationship I began to have with food. So many people look at food as a BAD thing in order to reach their health goals.  I was one of those people for pretty much my whole life until now.  I would eat carrots and lettuce all week, then binge eat on the weekends because I was so deprived.  That was worse than eating in moderation on a daily basis (what I do now!).

Snacks are my favorite part of the day :D!  I found ALL of these at GNC.  I try to eat a lot of protein.  I find it hard for me to get my daily intake by just meat sources.  So, I have to find other sources in order to hit my protein macro count.  All of these are high in protein! Some are higher in carbs than others but since I track carbs, too, it works for me!  Disclaimer: I also eat lots of fruits, veggies, and nuts!  These are just fun snacks for me!

Overcoming my battle with food is probably the biggest accomplishment in my life (to me!).  It was detrimental to my emotional health as well as physical health.
